Accydoo Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Accydoo, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree, you must stop using the app.
2. Description of Service
Accydoo is a football prediction platform where users:
- Join or create leagues
- Predict football match scores
- Compete using a points-based system
- View leaderboards and statistics
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or legal age in your jurisdiction) to use Accydoo.
4. Leagues
Users may create or join leagues.
Each league:
- Has a captain
- May be Free or League Sponsor
- Contains members who compete using shared fixtures
Captains are responsible for:
- Managing league members
- Setting up an optional Accy Pot, including contribution amounts and payment instructions
- Inviting participants
5. Scoring System
Scoring is defined as:
- 2 points: correct exact score
- 1 point: correct match outcome
- 0 points: incorrect prediction
Scores are calculated automatically based on official match results.
6. Predictions
- Predictions must be submitted before the deadline.
- Predictions are locked once the deadline has passed.
- Predictions are hidden until the deadline has passed to ensure fairness.
7. League Sponsor Leagues
League Sponsor leagues are paid features purchased via Apple App Store or Google Play.
They include:
- Ad-free experience
- Live leaderboard
- Advanced statistics
- Enhanced league features
Licences are valid for the duration of the Premier League season unless otherwise stated.
8. Payments
All payments for League Sponsor leagues are processed securely via Apple or Google.
Accydoo does NOT store payment card details.
9. Accy Pot
9.1 Optional league feature
League Captains with an eligible League Sponsor plan may choose to create an optional Accy Pot for their league.
The League Captain is responsible for setting:
- the suggested contribution amount;
- the payment method and payment instructions;
- any payment deadline;
- the intended prize or distribution arrangements; and
- any additional rules relating to the Accy Pot.
Participation in an Accy Pot is arranged between the League Captain and league members.
9.2 Accydoo does not collect or hold money
Accydoo does not:
- collect contributions;
- process payments between league members;
- hold or safeguard Accy Pot funds;
- operate an escrow service;
- manage a bank, PayPal, Revolut or other payment account;
- guarantee that contributions will be paid; or
- distribute the Accy Pot to a winner.
Payments are made directly to the League Captain, or to another payment destination selected by the League Captain, using an external payment service such as PayPal, Revolut or bank transfer.
Accydoo is not a party to those payments or to any agreement between league members regarding the Accy Pot.
9.3 Contribution tracking
Accydoo may provide tools allowing:
- players to indicate that they have made a contribution;
- League Captains to mark contributions as received;
- League Captains to view contribution statuses;
- payment instructions or external payment links to be shared; and
- reminders to be sent to players whose contributions remain outstanding.
These tools are provided for organisational purposes only.
A status shown within Accydoo, including Paid, Received, Awaiting confirmation or similar wording, is based on information entered by users. It is not independent confirmation by Accydoo that money has been transferred, received, refunded or remains available.
9.4 League Captain responsibilities
The League Captain is solely responsible for:
- providing accurate payment details;
- keeping contributed funds secure;
- keeping appropriate payment records;
- confirming which players have contributed;
- explaining how the Accy Pot will be awarded;
- resolving discrepancies or disputes;
- returning funds where appropriate; and
- paying or transferring the Accy Pot to the correct recipient.
League Captains must not describe Accydoo as holding, protecting, guaranteeing or securing the money.
9.5 Player responsibilities
Before contributing, players should satisfy themselves that:
- they know and trust the person receiving the money;
- the payment details are correct;
- they understand the league’s Accy Pot rules;
- they understand when and how the pot will be awarded; and
- they are willing to accept the risks of sending money directly to another user.
Players are responsible for retaining any receipt or payment confirmation supplied by their chosen payment provider.
9.6 Disputes, refunds and unpaid contributions
Any dispute relating to:
- unpaid contributions;
- incorrect payment details;
- refunds;
- missing funds;
- the amount held;
- the identity of the winner; or
- the distribution of an Accy Pot
must be resolved between the relevant league members and the League Captain.
Accydoo may provide technical support relating to the app’s tracking tools, but it cannot investigate payment accounts, reverse transactions, recover money or compel another user to make a payment.
9.7 External payment services
External payment services are operated by independent third parties and are subject to their own terms, fees, availability and eligibility requirements.
Accydoo is not responsible for:
- the availability or performance of an external payment service;
- transaction fees;
- payment delays;
- account restrictions;
- chargebacks;
- payment-service disputes; or
- losses caused by incorrect payment details or unauthorised activity.
9.8 No guarantee
Accydoo does not guarantee:
- that every player will contribute;
- that the amount shown in the app matches the amount actually held;
- that contributed money will remain available;
- that the League Captain will distribute it correctly; or
- that any participant will receive a prize.
Users participate in an Accy Pot at their own discretion and risk.
9.9 Lawful use
League Captains and players are responsible for ensuring that their Accy Pot and league arrangements comply with applicable laws and the rules of any payment provider they use.
Accydoo may suspend or remove an Accy Pot feature where it reasonably believes it is being used unlawfully, deceptively or contrary to these Terms.
10. User Conduct
Users must not:
- Attempt to manipulate scores or predictions
- Abuse or harass other users
- Create fraudulent leagues or accounts
- Exploit bugs or system vulnerabilities
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.
11. Account Suspension
We may suspend or remove accounts if:
- Terms are violated
- Fraudulent activity is detected
- System integrity is compromised
12. Limitation of Liability
Accydoo is provided “as is” without warranties.
We are not liable for:
- Disputes between users regarding contributions or Accy Pot arrangements
- Loss of data
- Service interruptions
- Incorrect third-party data (e.g. match results)
13. Intellectual Property
All Accydoo branding, design, and software remain the property of Accydoo.
14. Termination
Users may delete their account at any time.
We may terminate access for violations of these terms.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
